2nd July – Sid Memorial Day

We are planning to organise a ‘memorial fly-in’ in memory of Sid on Sunday 2nd July. Sid meant a lot to many of us and the general feeling from many in the club is that we should hold some sort of memorial to his memory.

The plan is to have a fly-in with models that Sid either designed, built or had a hand in. We know that there are many models of Sid’s in existence, so hopefully we can gather and fly as many as possible throughout the day. We would like to have a photo taken with all the models and as many members as possible, including his family, so please add this date to your diary and come and join us. We will supply light refreshments and try to make sure we are flying on runway 27. The weather will be an important factor so keep everything crossed for a good forecast.
